Alsatians love to celebrate carnival in February/March, a festive atmosphere is guaranteed!

- February 21/22: Sélestat (in bloom - lit up in the evening)

- March 7/8: Rosheim (Venetian carnival - magnificent)

- March 29: Strasbourg

- September 6: Ribeauvillé (the oldest and most beautiful)

Spring and Easter Markets

Alsace is also known for its many traditional, festive, and always delicious spring and Easter markets. Indeed, some culinary specialties can only be enjoyed in Alsace during the spring!

Towns and villages will welcome you with their bright and cheerful decorations to celebrate the end of winter and announce the arrival of warmer days in March and April.

For example, in 2026:

- Colmar: from March 28

- Strasbourg: April

- Kaysersberg: March 21/22 (special market)

- Ribeauvillé: March 29 (special market)

- Obernai: April 11/12 + Boersch on March 28/29 (special market)

Plant Festivals and Garden Tours

- Daffodil Festival in Gérardmer: April 4-6, 2026

- Mulhouse Zoological Park: April 11/12 + in autumn. Classified as a 'Remarkable Garden'. Numerous local and European exhibitors, artisans, and food vendors.

- Schoppenwihr Park In Colmar : April 24-26 + October 3-4 . Classified as a 'Remarkable Garden'. Numerous local and European exhibitors, artisans, and food vendors.

- Plant and seed exchange in Erstein and other villages : in May

- 'Rendez-vous aux jardins' in Alsace : from June 5th to 7th. Private individuals and professionals are kind enough to open the gates of their little corner of paradise during these 3 days.

- 'Flowers and Objects' Salonat Schoppenwihr Park In Colmar : June 20/21. Exhibition and sale of crafts and decorative items for the home and garden, as well as plants, seeds, and books.

From mid-November to the end of December , experience a magical and unforgettable Christmas in our house, which is specially decorated for the occasion. Alsace is renowned worldwide for its beautiful Christmas markets. Alsatians particularly cherish this time of year, a time that has been important to them since childhood. It's a true tradition that will delight your eyes and taste buds.

Strasbourg and Colmar are of course unmissable, but there are also the Christmas markets in the neighbouring villages, absolutely unique because they are more traditional and intimate where you will certainly hear our Alsatian dialect spoken.
